Hands In Plants (handsinplants.com) Effective Date: [Insert Date]
1. Order Processing Time
All orders are processed in the order they are received. Standard processing time is 2–5 business days, though this may vary based on order volume, weather conditions, or plant availability. Orders are not packed or shipped on weekends or holidays.
If we experience a high volume of orders, processing may be delayed. We will communicate any significant delays via email.
2. Shipping Methods
Hands In Plants ships live tropical plants using carriers such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Shipping speed options may include:
-
Standard Shipping (Ground)
-
Expedited Shipping
-
Overnight Shipping (recommended for sensitive or high‑value plants)
Available options will be shown at checkout. We reserve the right to change carriers at our discretion to ensure the safest transit for live plants.
3. Warm‑Weather & Cold‑Weather Packaging (Optional Add‑On)
Hands In Plants offers optional warm‑weather and cold‑weather packaging to help protect live tropical plants during extreme temperatures. This may include insulated materials, heat packs, cold packs, or other seasonal protective measures.
These temperature‑control packaging options are not automatically included with any order. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to add the appropriate weather‑protection option to their cart at checkout.
Hands In Plants is not liable for temperature‑related damage to plants when the customer chooses not to purchase the recommended seasonal packaging.
4. Delivery Estimates
Delivery estimates provided at checkout are not guaranteed. Transit times may vary due to:
-
Carrier delays
-
Weather conditions
-
Holidays
-
Incorrect or incomplete shipping information
Hands In Plants is not responsible for delays caused by carriers or external conditions.
5. Risk of Loss
Once a package is accepted by the carrier, risk of loss transfers to the customer. Hands In Plants is not responsible for:
-
Lost or stolen packages
-
Packages marked “Delivered” but not located
-
Damage caused by carrier mishandling
-
Delays resulting in plant stress
We strongly recommend shipping to a secure location and tracking your delivery closely.
6. Delivery Requirements
Customers are responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive the package upon delivery. Live plants left outside for extended periods may suffer damage due to heat, cold, or exposure. Such damage is not covered under our Live Arrival Guarantee.
7. Live Arrival Guarantee Conditions
To qualify for review under our Live Arrival Guarantee, customers must:
-
Record a live, continuous video unboxing within two (2) hours of delivery
-
Show the unopened box, full unpacking process, and plant condition
-
Submit the video and clear photos within the same two‑hour window
Failure to meet these requirements voids eligibility for replacement or store credit.
Minor cosmetic imperfections—including browning, yellowing, or damaged leaves—are normal during shipping and do not qualify for refund or replacement.
8. Incorrect Shipping Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping details. Hands In Plants is not liable for:
-
Delays
-
Lost packages
-
Returned shipments
-
Damage caused by incorrect addresses
If a package is returned due to incorrect information, the customer must pay for reshipment.
9. Shipping Restrictions
